culture shock

I've enjoyed walking around downtown Kampala.  While the traffic is wildly dangerous, I've discovered that if you pick a Ugandan standing by the road and exactly mirror their movements (i.e. when they cross/run, you do the same) it seems to work well.

The shock that I had was after passing a vegetable market I found myself in front of a beautiful old sandstone building with spires and arches and a very ornate fence...covered in Swastikas.  Hmmmmm.  As I suspected, this was a Hindu temple; admittedly finding that in downtown Kampala Uganda was also quite surprising.
