Bryan defies gender role stereotypes, not only as a husband who cooks (unusual in Cameroon) but also in his lovely pink apron.

Learning a Cameroonian card game with some friends.

 Family planning options at Mbingo.

Buying flour in bulk at our local store.

A few patients gather around homemade checkers board.

The view out our front door. Northwest Cameroon certainly is beautiful.

Some friends we ran into on a hike.

This patient walked all the way from Accident Ward to see the helicopter.

Bag of fresh fruit from a grateful patient.

Pharmacy.

Debbie Eisenhut is a PACCS Surgery attending here. Prior to coming to Cameroon, she worked in Liberia during the peak of the Ebola crisis. She is an amazing woman and I enjoy every minute I get to spend with her.

Beautiful hike. Bryan examines a bug.

Coffee break for the doctors is a big thing here. Somehow for these few minutes each day, hospital hiarchy is put on hold and everyone seems to speak their mind - we learn so much about politics, culture, and our colleagues!

Dr. Dennis Palmer chats with me, Bryan, Dr. Glenn Halke (Pediatrician), and Dr. Chris Gifford (FamMed).

Fresh wheat berries, straight from the farm. Looking forward to having freshly ground wheat flour. I've enjoyed the challenge of figuring out how to source different varieties of food. I've never paid so much attention to chain of supply!
