Snake bite

One night in November I was called in early for a case of snake bite. She was 16 years old, bitten 3 days ago but brought in after she lost consciousness. I've never treated this before; thankfully, had several helpful reference texts. We administered antivenom, and two hours later she was sitting up, talking, and asking for food!

It's unusual in medicine to see people improve, and so quickly!

Here's a different snake - one killed by a Cameroonian staff member.

They graciously allowed Bryan to pose with it.

These good looking youngsters belong to the Gifford family - new friends! Unfortunately, I didn't get the names of our photo bombers in the background.
